Why stop there?

Ah, heck, I’m already at the computer. Let’s add some more:

More films!

Sorry for being slow on the next few films, but I’ve been a victim of (post)modern life lately. Just busy, busy, busy. Anyway, someone asked me if these are my favorite movies, and I had to ponder that. I have so MANY favorite movies, and indeed, I would have to include many, if not all, of these movies. Untitled Poem

Today I saw Fay Wray pass that famous skyscraper
on 5th avenue, her eyes locked on the street
before her, resisting the urge
to glance up.

Who can blame her? Staring at the clouds
too long makes the bad memories come back.
Some people bring cameras, and then
we’re really in for it. On Sept. 11th
I watched someone’s home movies play over
and over, the images
re-exploding until the ground shook
like a giant ape had tumbled.

So I’m with Fay Wray.
Don’t look up at the clouds,
Resist the roar of the planes
And the screams of the little dolls
falling.
‘Twas beauty that killed the Beast
the man said over Kong’s body,
and I couldn’t agree more.
Fay, baby, I’ll follow you all day.
Just don’t look up.
